Xyz Monsters are made from anti-matter, and have traveled here from the other side of a black hole. They're landing in Duels at the speed of light, ready to kick butt and take names.
What's an Xyz Monster? First things first: It's pronounced ik-seez. (You say it like a word. Don't just spell out the letters!). Xyz Monsters get their name because they're so easy to Summon. You can make Xyz Monsters from anything: any monster Type, any Attribute, any theme. You can make monsters that look like giant toys, or fearsome dragons, or even monsters that are made of numbers. You can make them out of anything, even the letters x, y, and z. Since they've traveled through a black hole to enter our universe, Xyz Monsters live in Reverse Time, so they do lots of things backwards.
Got Extra Deck? The best thing about Xyz Monsters is that they already work with the Deck you're using RIGHT NOW. No adjustments required! Xyz Monsters hang out in your Extra Deck, just like your Fusion Monsters and Synchro Monsters. But Xyz Monsters are way easier to Summon than either of those. If you're not using an Extra Deck, now is a great time to start. You won't need to change your Main Deck at all, or add any special cards. Just put some Xyz Monsters in your Extra Deck Zone and you're ready to rock. Your Extra Deck can be anywhere from 0 to 15 cards. So even if you don't have an Extra Deck yet, you can just put your Xyz Monsters in the Extra Deck Zone the next time you Duel. That way, you've got them if you need them.
Dawn of the Xyz also comes with lots of powerful cards that work in any Deck, like Mirror Force, Seven Tools of the Bandit, and Blade Knight. It's a new age of Dueling! So don't miss your chance to get in front of the pack!
